Matthew is a partner and leads our Property and Casualty (P&C) Actuarial business for the UK and European regions.
With more than 23 years of actuarial experience across the European P&C and technology sectors, he has advised a wide range of insurance companies and Lloyd’s of London syndicates.
Matthew specializes in actuarial technology, strategy, and traditional actuarial services, including independent reserving reviews, underwriting, claims analysis, mergers and acquisitions due diligence, capital model builds and validation, pricing analysis, and financial business planning.
Building strong relationships and delivering value are my priorities. I thrive on challenges, especially in a rapidly evolving business landscape. Working closely with insurance executives, I focus on accelerating technology adoption and enhancing actuarial capabilities to drive success
Before joining Oliver Wyman, Matthew held a senior leadership role at multinational insurance consultancies, where he played a key part in driving growth in the London market and expanding its insurance, consulting, and technology capabilities in the Middle East.
Matthew lives in London with his wife and two daughters. Outside of work, he has completed seven Ironman Triathlons — the pinnacle of long-distance triathlons. He enjoys cycling and participates in the amateur stage of the Tour de France every year.
