Mark is a partner in Oliver Wyman’s Insurance and Asset Management practice, bringing more than 25 years of investment and corporate banking experience. He advises insurance, asset management, and private capital clients globally on corporate financial management, capital markets, and strategy development and execution.
Before joining Oliver Wyman, Mark held senior roles at Citi, JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, and Scotiabank. His experience spans mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, lending, treasury services, and cards.
Mark has advised CEOs, business leaders, and boards on capital management, investment strategy, and M&A. He has also worked with fintech and InsurTech founders on market strategy and fundraising. His clients have included public and private companies, private equity firms, startups, hedge funds, pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds.
I have worked broadly and intensively with senior financial services executives and teams on business development and analyzing competitive landscapes, balance sheet optimization, business line launch and growth, and asset valuation and monetization through M&A and public/private market structures
Throughout his career, Mark has found that the most rewarding transactions are those that build relationships extending well beyond the deal itself. His experience leading IPO and M&A engagements has given him a deep appreciation for the trust required when clients are making consequential strategic and financial decisions.
Mark holds an MBA, a JD, and a BA from Harvard University. Outside of work, he was a Rotary Global Scholar in Madrid, completed the New York City Marathon, and is a graduate of the Colorado Outward Bound School. He also supports nonprofit organizations, particularly those focused on education and the environment.
