Mariya is a managing partner and Head of Strategy and Growth at Oliver Wyman, and a member of the firm’s Global Leadership team. Previously, she served as Head of Americas Banking and Financial Services.

With three decades of experience in consulting and the banking industry, Mariya is a sought-after strategic advisor to organizations undergoing transformation. In her current role, she shapes the firm’s strategic priorities, including its approach to growth and its perspective on an increasingly AI-enabled business environment. She works closely with our leadership to define and execute the firm’s most critical initiatives, while continuing to advise senior financial services industry executives.

Mariya has worked with leading investment and universal banks globally, advising on business and client strategy, large-scale transformation, and regulatory remediation. She is particularly known for leading complex change programs and helping institutions navigate moments of strategic inflection.

Mariya joined Oliver Wyman in 2004, later holding roles in wholesale banking at Bank of America and Deutsche Bank, before rejoining the firm in 2016. Over the course of her career at Oliver Wyman, she has held multiple leadership roles, most recently as Head of the Americas Banking and Financial Services Practices. She also founded the firm’s Global Leadership Team Council, a shadow board advising senior management. She is a frequent speaker at industry and client events and the author of thought leadership on the evolution of banking and financial services.

Mariya holds a master’s degree in law and diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a bachelor’s degree in history from Dartmouth College.
