His deep knowledge of actuarial and insurance risk management helps life insurance across Asia navigate unprecedented industry changes, prepare for future challenges, and achieve sustainable and profitable growth.
With 30 years of experience in the life insurance industry, Marco is an expert at leveraging financial, actuarial, and risk reporting to support C-suite decision-making. He specializes in risk and capital management, financial modeling and transformation, reporting, valuations, business planning, asset liability management, product development, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Over more than 25 years working in the Asia Pacific market, Marco has led projects for Asian and multinational insurers, including for M&A services, embedded values, asset and liability modeling, market consistent embedded value, risk management services, and economic capital determination. Before joining Oliver Wyman, he was a partner at KPMG China, held several senior executive roles, including chief risk officer at ING Hong Kong & Macau, and worked extensively as a consulting actuary throughout the Asia Pacific.

Marco holds a Master of Science in actuarial science from the University of Amsterdam. He is a member of the Dutch Actuarial Society (AAG) and the Hong Kong Actuarial Society.
