Maarten is a vice president at Innopay, a business of Oliver Wyman focused on digital transactions.
As a thought leader in data sharing, he advises the financial industry in general — and the insurance and pension sectors in particular — on how to reap the benefits of open finance collaboration and data-sharing ecosystems.
Recently, Maarten has been assisting clients in navigating the upcoming European Financial Data Access (FIDA) regulation. Similar to PSD2, this regulation will introduce requirements for third-party data sharing across all financial institutions and has the potential to significantly disrupt the business models of established players.
I help my clients in driving innovation at the intersection of regulation, technology, and business, creating tangible and enduring impact in the areas that matter most
Prior to joining Innopay, Maarten worked as a business strategy consultant at a global professional services firm in Amsterdam. In addition to his role at Innopay, Maarten took the initiative to establish the Dutch Data Sharing Coalition, a government-funded alliance that continues to grow with more than 150 organizations collaborating to establish a cross-sectoral data-sharing scheme.
Outside of work, Maarten is a father of two and an enthusiastic cyclist. He has set his sights on completing the European Divide Trail, a challenge that is on his bucket list.
