Kerstin is a talent manager at Oliver Wyman who partners with junior consultants and project teams to ensure people are well‑matched to projects, receive timely feedback and development, and are supported through key life and career moments.
After transitioning from entry-level recruiting to talent management, in her new role she now focuses on staffing for transportation and advanced industries, performance transformation, health and life sciences, and high‑priority internal projects for junior consultants and interns — matching supply with demand, managing project confirmations, tracking vacation and timesheet compliance, and balancing the needs of the firm with the aspirations of individual consultants.
Great talent decisions balance firm needs with individual ambition, providing consultants clear feedback, meaningful experiences, and the support to grow
Kerstin runs performance management processes and leads project review initiatives to ensure consultants receive structured feedback. She coordinates with Learning and Development to ensure training is delivered when needed and follows up on variances and administrative items that impact career records.
Prior to consulting, Kerstin studied International Management and spent 14 years in the hotel industry, bringing a people‑first, service‑oriented approach to talent work. Originally from Namibia, she contributes actively to firm life — leading the OW‑Runners group, supporting Women of Oliver Wyman (WOW), and participating in the European AI taskforce, where she has developed a growing interest in AI. She also assigns mentors and career advisors and supports colleagues through major life changes such as becoming a parent, relocating, or planning a move outside the firm.
