Jun is a project manager based in our Tokyo office.

He primarily serves clients in the energy and financial services sectors, drawing on experience across both the public and private spheres to support a broad range of topics, including regulation and market frameworks, transformation, risk management, and portfolio strategy.

In the energy sector, Jun brings perspectives from market design, regulation, and business risk to support decision‑making for energy companies and investors. His work includes domestic and international power and gas market analyses, regulatory assessments, due diligence on power companies, risk‑management frameworks for utilities, and portfolio‑management enhancements.

He also supports financial services clients on topics such as asset‑liability management and sales transformation.

Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Jun worked at Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, where he contributed to policy planning and institutional design. His work included the response to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station accident, post‑accident nuclear safety regulatory reform, and the development of policies to support Japan’s startup ecosystem. He was also seconded to Industrial Growth Platform, Inc., where he worked on business turnaround support and M&A‑related projects.

Jun holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from the University of California, San Diego. Outside of work, he enjoys visiting breweries, attending baseball games, and going to music festivals, which often take him across Japan and around the world.
