José is a partner in our Banking and Financial Services Practice.
He advises banks and other financial institutions throughout the GCC on strategy, transformation, and performance improvement, working across retail and corporate banking, credit, risk, and digital and data-led initiatives. In doing so, José brings a broad perspective to complex banking challenges, helping leadership teams connect strategy, operating models, and execution.
José’s work focuses on large-scale transformation programs that deliver measurable financial and operational impact. He supports clients in improving growth and profitability through better pricing, stronger credit decisioning, enhanced collections, and more effective use of data and analytics. Increasingly, he advises banks on integrating advanced analytics and AI into core business processes — not as standalone tools, but as enablers of better decision-making, streamlined operations, and improved customer experience.
In our work, transformation is rarely about a single breakthrough moment. It’s a continuous journey of growing responsibility, learning, and adapting — for organizations and for people
Originally trained as a mechanical engineer before earning a degree in economics, José combines quantitative rigor with a deep understanding of financial systems. His background has shaped a disciplined, analytical approach to problem-solving and a long-term perspective that views transformation as an ongoing journey rather than a one-off event. He is often sought out for career advice and mentorship and is valued for his openness, pragmatism, and perspective on building sustainable consulting careers.
Having begun his career in Europe, José has spent more than a decade working across the Middle East, with much of that time focused on Saudi Arabia. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, with three children keeping him happily busy.
