Based in Atlanta, John is a vice president at Oliver Wyman Vector with more than 25 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industries, and digital products.
His expertise spans flight operations, digital transformation, agile software development, program leadership, software product strategy, and aircraft network cybersecurity. He advises clients on mission-critical digital transformation initiatives, leadership alignment in complex programs, and best practices for software product development and delivery teams.
There is no substitute for operational experience when delivering on strategic vision. The ability to understand and connect stakeholders across multiple adjacent domains is a key enabler to delivering success in complex programs
Prior to Oliver Wyman Vector, John was a managing partner at SeaTec Consulting, where he led the Aerospace, Defense and Government, and Digital Practices. Before that John was CEO of APIJet where he led the development of a cloud connected aerospace data platform for commercial operators.
He has also held pilot roles in the US Navy and at Delta Air Lines. His deep background as an operator in the global airspace system, combined with leadership roles in technology and software allows him to help clients succeed in complex digital and operational transformations.
John is a graduate of Georgia Tech, Emory University, holds an Airline Transport Pilot license, and is type-rated on the Airbus A350 and Boeing 757/767.
Outside of work, John remains connected to Georgia Tech and Emory University, living near both. He enjoys spending time with his wife, exercising, walking their dog, Violet, reading, and deepening his knowledge of wine.
