Iain is a vice president at Veritas, a business of Oliver Wyman, based in London. He brings more than 25 years of experience across energy and commodities trading, risk, and technology.
He began his career as an options and structured products trader in global currency markets before moving into energy and commodities, where his work has spanned trading strategy, risk management, technology transformation, and operating model design.
Over the course of his career, Iain has held senior roles across trading organizations, commodity trading and risk management software providers, and technology consulting firms. He has led middle-office, risk, and product control functions for major energy companies and advised senior commercial leaders on IT strategy, systems implementation, process redesign, and data architecture.
His experience also includes leading CTRM selections and implementations across oil, refined products, gas, power, environmental products, metals, and agriculture.

Iain has also built trading technology businesses, delivered global credit risk programs, and developed solutions for complex exposure, valuation, collateral, and structured-deal requirements.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in economics from the University of Bradford. Before turning fully to the trading floor, Iain played linebacker in the British American Football League, winning four national titles.
