Heiner, a seasoned executive with a wealth of experience in leading multi-billion global businesses, currently serves as a senior advisor at Oliver Wyman. Prior to this, he had an illustrious career at General Electric (GE) and SUEZ, culminating in his retirement from GE in April 2023.
During his tenure, Heiner has held several key positions including CEO of GE Grid Solutions, CEO of SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions, and management board member of SUEZ, SA in France. He also served as the CEO of GE Water and Distributed Power, President of SABIC Innovative Plastics Europe/GE Plastics Europe, and CEO of GE Bayer Silicones. In these roles, he drove significant turnarounds, strategic repositioning, business expansions, acquisitions, integrations as well as divestitures, always maintaining a strong operational focus. Heiner’s journey with GE began in 1994 when he joined GE’s Corporate Business Development team. Before joining GE, he was a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton, specializing in the Chemicals and Energy industries.

Currently, Heiner serves on the board of three water-related private equity portfolio companies. Until recently, he was also a board member at ProlecGE, one of the largest transformer manufacturers in North America. He is a trustee of Solebury School in New Hope, PA.
Heiner studied economics at the University of Muenster, Germany, and graduated from the University of Cologne, Germany, with a degree in business administration. He resides in Doylestown, PA with his wife and their three children. An avid cyclist and skier, Heiner enjoys traveling with his family.
