Gaurav brings in-depth global industry experience as a C-suite executive to Oliver Wyman. As a Partner and Global Head of P&C Insurance, he delivers high-impact advisory and consulting engagements for large multinational corporations as well as new-age insurtechs, providing strategic direction at different phases of growth and maturity.

With a strong track record of standing up new operations and sustaining long-term growth trajectories, both organically and inorganically, Gaurav has driven organizations to consistently deliver in periods of growth and disruption. He stays hyper-focused on the customer and measures end-to-end customer interaction and experience to fulfill and exceed expectations.

The opportunity to add value to insurers and leverage the rapidly-maturing digital ecosystem is significant. I enjoy solving for and with all the stakeholders as we shape the future of the P&C industry

Prior to Oliver Wyman, Gaurav was an Executive Consultant at Chubb following a progressive career at AIG. As CEO of Global Personal Insurance at AIG, Gaurav was responsible for all the global consumer P&C businesses. He also previously worked at Oliver Wyman’s parent, Marsh McLennan, as well as Mercer, as a Senior Partner and President of Growth Markets.

In addition to his executive roles, Gaurav served as Chairman of Blue Marble Microinsurance, Chairman of the American Insurance Association Personal Lines Executive Committee, and Chairman of the US-India Business Council Insurance Sub-Committee. He is frequently sought out as a keynote speaker and thought leader on emerging trends in insurance and insurtech disruption.

Gaurav is deeply passionate about diversity and inclusion. He partnered with the World Economic Forum on gender diversity and participated in an expert panel at the annual conference in Davos that discussed how businesses win when women thrive. Gaurav was also a panelist at the Harvard Women’s Law Association of HLS, where he discussed how men can be gender allies.

Gaurav earned his MBA in India and completed the Advanced Management Program at Wharton, UPenn. Following his keen interest in digital strategy, he recently did a program at MIT Sloan School of Management on Digital Business Strategy. Gaurav is equally passionate about climate and sustainability, leading him to a Program for Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge, UK. He is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India and a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK.

Outside of the New York office, Gaurav enjoys golf, aero-modeling, traveling, and quality time with his wife and two daughters.
