Elena joined Oliver Wyman in 2002 at the inauguration of the Milan office and has since played an integral role in overseeing its growth. Today, she still operates out of Milan, working on talent management and recruiting for the Iberian region, which consists of Spain and Portugal, and the South Eastern Europe Market, which spans from the Balkans to Israel. It’s a journey that’s given her the opportunity to be enriched humanly by knowing different cultures and people. “I travelled a lot and became a master in suitcase packing,” she jokes.
My experience at Oliver Wyman and my current role allow me to search for the best talent, on-board them, deploy them to serve our clients, and support them in their development, matching the business need with their individual ambitions and growth path
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Elena served as an international headhunter and office manager. During the past 18 years, she’s had multiple roles at the firm, from managing human resources, including recruiting, selection, compensation, and talent management, to overseeing the Milan, Madrid, Athens, and Istanbul offices. “My experience has allowed me to get the flavor of various roles and related responsibilities and to support our business from different angles,” says Elena.
Outside of recruiting, Elena is passionate about rugby and has a bit of a shoe obsession. But most of Elena’s spare time is devoted to her family and her son, Noah. “He is my real manager, he makes me work pro-bono and without holiday but he is so adorable!”
