Edward is a partner in Oliver Wyman’s Banking and Financial Services practice, based in Sydney.
He brings nearly 20 years of global financial services experience, advising banks on risk management, credit portfolio and balance sheet management, governance, and culture. His work also spans the digitalization of financial services and the implications of changing technology for banks, insurers, and regulators.

Before joining Oliver Wyman, Edward held senior roles at Westpac in Sydney across the Institutional Bank and Group Risk, where he developed deep experience in portfolio and risk management. Earlier in his career, he worked in London and the United States, including as Head of EMEA for insurance specialist Barrie & Hibbert and in senior roles at Moody’s Analytics and KMV.
This combination of consulting and industry experience gives Edward a practical perspective on how financial institutions can strengthen risk management while adapting to a changing operating environment.
Outside of work, Edward is a proud New Zealander and enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and spending time outdoors.
