Dylan is a senior principal in Oliver Wyman’s Actuarial practice, based in New York.
He leads modeling and valuation projects for life insurers and has deep experience across a range of actuarial systems. His work focuses on statutory and GAAP financial reporting and valuation, with particular expertise in emerging US requirements such as principle-based reserving and long-duration targeted improvements.
Dylan helps clients address the modeling and implementation challenges these requirements create, from model design and conversion through testing, validation, and reporting. He is particularly active in life principle-based reserving and has contributed to industry initiatives, including the VM-20 YRT field test and the PBA Projections Practice Note Work Group.
Regulatory change creates complexity, but it also creates an opportunity to build stronger models and processes. The goal is to help insurers turn new requirements into clearer, more reliable decision-making
He also serves as Oliver Wyman’s lead for PolySystems. Before joining the firm, Dylan was a vice president in PolySystems’ consulting services group.
Dylan is a frequent speaker at industry events, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
