Dean is a partner in Oliver Wyman’s Actuarial practice, based in Toronto. He advises insurers and self-insured organizations on a range of actuarial and financial management topics.
His experience spans pricing, financial reporting, due diligence, securitizations, and predictive modeling. Dean specializes in actuarial model development, conversion, and review, with extensive experience using the GGY AXIS platform and other actuarial systems.

He has led and supported complex model conversions across multiple markets, including the United States, Singapore, Australia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. His work has covered individual life, long-term care, income protection, funeral benefits, and annuity products, as well as asset and liability management and capital planning models.
Before joining Oliver Wyman in 2012, Dean worked at Munich Reinsurance, ING Life and Annuity Company, Towers Perrin, and Transamerica Life Canada.
Dean is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and an Associate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
