Davin is a partner in Oliver Wyman’s Customer Innovation and Growth practice, based in San Francisco. He advises clients on payment strategies, cards, fintech, operational risk, and retail and business banking.
His experience combines consulting with senior industry and line-management roles. Before joining Oliver Wyman, Davin worked at SoFi, where he led the Operational Risk group and built programs across supplier risk, model risk governance, controls, and enterprise risk governance. He later designed and launched SoFi’s first credit card product, leading a cross-functional team across risk, product, engineering, data, marketing, and operations.
The best financial products sit at the intersection of customer need, strong economics, and disciplined execution. Turning an idea into something that works at scale requires product, risk, technology, and operations to move together
Earlier in his career, Davin was a senior leader at Visa, where he led the US Consumer Credit group. His responsibilities included platform management, card benefits and services, and issuer product and portfolio optimization.
This mix of strategy, product, risk, and operating experience gives Davin a practical perspective on how financial services organizations can turn new ideas into products and businesses that work at scale.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and bachelor’s degrees in commerce and laws from the University of Melbourne.
