Dave is a partner based in our Shanghai office, bringing extensive expertise in corporate and growth strategy for retailers and consumer brands across China and Asia.
He specializes in corporate strategy, competitive analysis, growth and expansion, e-commerce operations, category management, and channel strategy. With a strong focus on the dynamic markets of China, he has successfully led numerous high-impact projects for some of the world’s leading consumer brands and platforms.
Collaborating with brands and retailers in sectors such as food and beverage, beauty, personal care, consumer durables, nutrition and health, and specialty retail, he has recently expanded his expertise into the e-commerce sector. Dave has supported China’s tech giants in identifying new growth engines, improving operational efficiency, and advising on their transformation strategies in the highly competitive online-oriented landscape. He is also the lead author of numerous insight reports created in collaboration with leading e-commerce players, including Meituan, Xiaohongshu (also known as Little Red Book), and JD.com.

Dave holds a business degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and is fluent in both Mandarin and English, enabling him to effectively navigate the complexities of the Greater China market. His deep understanding of local dynamics, combined with his strategic acumen, positions him as a trusted advisor to clients seeking to thrive in this rapidly evolving environment.
Outside of work, Dave enjoys various water sports, including swimming, scuba diving, surfing, kayaking, and fishing.
