He works across markets and at the intersection of financial services, risk management, and corporate and institutional banking. He assists clients in optimizing financial resources, transforming their treasury capabilities, managing risks and business growth.
Carlo’s work draws on more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He has held senior leadership roles across several banks and cultures. Before joining Oliver Wyman, he acted as group treasurer for HSBC and UBS, and co-global head of financial planning and strategy for Nomura.

Carlo specializes in transforming treasury organizations and implementing strategies to optimize capital, liquidity, funding, and manage structural interest rate and FX risks. He excels in managing investment/liquidity portfolios, restructuring and optimizing businesses and legal entities. His expertise extends to transforming budgeting and forecasting, aligning business interests, including economic profit and funds transfer pricing, establishing appropriate recovery and resolution plans, and regulatory engagement and advocacy.
A multicultural strategic leader, Carlo is proficient in English, Italian and Spanish. Beyond the professional realm, he enjoys spending time with his family, is an avid golfer, and explores the world through photography.
