A Principal in the Atlanta office, Brian helps actuarial clients understand their risk profiles and how they fit into the optimal insurance structure.
Brian provides a variety of consulting services to insurance companies, self-insured companies, and public entities, including reserve analyses, and loss projection studies for a range of coverages. Coverages he has actively worked on include professional liability, workers’ compensation, general liability, and automobile liability.
Brain joined Oliver Wyman after earning his BS in Mathematics and BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia. His degrees in mathematics and finance lend the technical background needed to understand the problems when crafting solutions based on how the client thinks and learns.
I enjoy finding patterns and trends in the data and explaining why that is relevant to the client’s situation, in a way they can understand
Colleagues and clients seek out Brian for his ability to understand highly technical and complex processes and explain them in everyday language. “I help our clients understand the story the data is telling, which leads to actionable impacts they can make on their safety and risk management programs,” he adds.
To those entering the actuarial discipline, Brian’s advice is to not be afraid to fail. “The actuarial exam process is a long and difficult road, and failure is inevitable. Every failure provides an opportunity to grow stronger. There are always new things to learn,” he adds. Brian is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
