Andrew is a senior principal in our Actuarial Health practice, based in Chicago. He leads the development of our actuarial optimization services for accountable care organizations (ACOs) and other healthcare providers.
As an expert in policy evaluation, risk adjustment, contract strategy, cost optimization, and healthcare analytics, Andrew has helped ACOs improve financial performance by translating complex program mechanics into clear implications for strategy and operations. His insights have helped ACOs quantify their risk exposure and identify improvements that have generated hundreds of thousands to millions in return on investment (ROI).
Navigating value-based care is as much about clarity as it is about complexity — my job is to turn policy and performance data into actionable insights for healthcare leaders
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Andrew was co-founder and chief actuary at Validate Health, a healthcare analytics company where he specialized in payer contract modeling, shared-savings forecasting, and risk-hedging strategies.
He holds a MSc in actuarial science from the University of Wisconsin and a BSc in mathematics from the University of Illinois. He has contributed research and analysis to the National Association of ACOs (NAACOS), the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), and the Society of Actuaries on policy evaluation, risk adjustment, and the impacts of COVID-19. Andrew is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, and skiing. He is also a frequent international traveler, visiting more than 10 countries last year.
