Andrew is a principal in our Property and Casualty Actuarial Practice, based in Sydney.

As our business development leader in Australia, he leverages deep technical experience to solve insurers’ most complex underwriting, pricing, product, and financial management challenges, helping them achieve sustainable growth.

Andrew brings a wealth of insurance and reinsurance experience to help our clients manage their evolving customer needs, mitigate risk exposures, and navigate complex regulatory landscapes. His focus areas include expanding commercial lines portfolios in Australia and growth opportunities through mergers and acquisitions. He also has a special interest in harnessing technology and artificial intelligence to streamline underwriting and distribution processes to improve customer service while reducing costs.

Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Andrew held senior roles at leading insurance and reinsurance companies. He has provided strategic advice and management consulting services to a wide range of clients, including insurance carriers, underwriting agencies, third-party service providers, boards, and regulators.

Andrew is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in actuarial studies, and a Bachelor of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys a busy family life with his wife, two children and their pet Cavoodle. They stay active with soccer, arcade sessions, and family movie nights featuring 1980s classics including "Back To The Future" and "Karate Kid." He also reads widely, with a particular interest in geopolitical history, and starts most mornings with high-intensity interval training.
