Based in Frankfurt, Alex leads Oliver Wyman’s German-speaking Finance & Risk and Corporate & Institutional Banking practice groups, advising leading financial institutions across Europe on wholesale strategy, performance improvement, compliance, and anti-financial crime.
I enjoy bringing people together across client-facing front office teams and their risk, finance, and compliance functions to drive strong and sustainable business outcomes.
Alex has designed and executed large-scale digital, cost, and regulatory transformation programs for banks, asset managers, and market infrastructure players. His clients rely on his expertise in optimizing their business and operating model front-to-back – combining sales force effectiveness and revenue acceleration with effective and efficient controls – to drive value for clients and stakeholders.
Banks need our help when the stakes are high and substance is required – in recent work on financial crime remediation and stress testing we helped our clients pick themselves up off the mat and build themselves back better than before.
Married to a virologist and with two young boys, Alex is interested in sustainability beyond banking. As part of our social impact work, he has supported non-profit environmental organizations to become more impactful in their development projects and education campaigns.
