Mikko is a principal in our Private Capital practice in the Nordics. He advises financial sponsors across the transaction lifecycle, with a focus on buy- and sell-side work and value creation for portfolio companies. He has led projects across the Nordics and Europe in the financial services and business services industries.
Having spent most of his career at Oliver Wyman, Mikko has developed deep expertise in management consulting and a rigorous approach to complex commercial questions. He draws on this experience to help financial sponsors pressure-test the investment case for an asset, assessing its growth prospects, competitive positioning and opportunities for value creation.

Mikko joined Oliver Wyman after earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Hanken School of Economics. He also completed exchange programs at Tsinghua University, Singapore Management University and Copenhagen Business School. He is fluent in Swedish, Finnish, and English.
Outside of work, Mikko enjoys spending time with his family and two daughters. He is also an avid sports fan, playing floorball and closely following North American ice hockey.
