Jad is the global head of Oliver Wyman Quotient and the head of Digital Practice in IMEA. He has spent the past 15+ years working in over 20 countries and five industries.

Collaborating with people from varying personal and professional backgrounds – with very different priorities and ambitions – has shown him the importance of embracing unique ideas and perspectives while in parallel keeping a razor-sharp, uncompromised focus on the objectives at hand. “I’ve learned that standing up for what I believe is right is not a luxury, but rather a duty to my clients and colleagues,” he says.

At Oliver Wyman, real, tangible, and quantifiable impact is our credo. We believe that no significant business impact can be generated without having, in parallel, a deep impact on people, whether they are citizens, users, or customers

Clients look to Jad for an always honest, to-the-point opinion. He notes that, more broadly, his clients seek out Oliver Wyman for the firm’s multi-specialist team with unparalleled expertise, pragmatic approach to strategy definition, and ability to help execute end-to-end.

Jad’s role covers macro digital transformation strategy setting, implementation planning and support, as well strategic digital asset builds supported by top-notch strategy, UX and UI design, data science, and engineering colleagues. “In short, I help my clients be the disruptors, not the disrupted,” he says.

We now live in a world where uncertainty is the only constant. Although most clients’ strategies are still valid to a large extent, the implementation of these strategies must be accelerated significantly. The challenge is to keep the end goal in sight while making things happen in less time, with less money and often with a workforce whose movement is highly restricted

Crises can also bring opportunities for clients, Jad clarifies. “The acceleration of one’s strategy is in itself a win, but other opportunities also present themselves, such as the increased need for supply chain localization and eventually overall resilience, and all the ancillary opportunities that this brings whether on the level of environmental innovation, increased labour demand locally, and others.”

Jad feels privileged to have worked with clients on addressing some of the biggest challenges of our time. During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jad’s team helped a client keep people safely out of hospitals and healthcare workers focused on their priorities by launching a nationwide virtual consultation program coupled with a medication delivery service. “Tens of thousands of people, most of whom at risk, were kept safe because of these services during the first few months after launch alone,” he adds.

Jad holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Operations Research from the American University of Beirut. He is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.
