Karim is a partner in our Transportation and Services Practice, based in Dubai.

With more than 10 years of consulting experience, Karim has worked extensively with leading aviation ecosystem players and public sector entities in the Middle East, becoming a trusted advisor focused on transformation, strategy development and execution, and capital project planning.

He has developed and executed comprehensive business plans, financial forecasts, and operationalization roadmaps for new aviation entities, conducted performance diagnostics for aviation assets, and created detailed strategies for newly corporatized airport holding companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council and beyond. Karim's expertise also extends to evaluating the economic impact of major airlines, restructuring networks and fleets for both Middle Eastern and international carriers, and crafting strategies to attract foreign direct investment in the transportation and logistics sectors.

Karim holds a Master’s of Science in Transportation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master’s of Engineering in Construction Management, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University.

Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Karim worked for a global consulting firm and a multinational engineering corporation. Fluent in Arabic, English, and French, his unique perspective and interest in the aviation industry stem from his extensive travel experiences and his belief in the powerful role of airports and airlines in shaping perceptions of countries.

In his personal time, Karim enjoys tennis and skiing, and continues to be passionate about the aviation industry’s potential to drive economic growth and connectivity in the Middle East.
