Stijn is a senior consultant based in our Brussels office. He specializes in the transport industry, including postal, road, rail, and air. Other notable experience includes procurement cost optimization and climate and sustainability.
In the past years, I have been focusing mainly on mobility topics. I find this especially interesting as it is very tangible, and I believe there is still significant potential for improvement in transport, leading to impactful changes for people and the environment
After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in business engineering at the Solvay Brussels School, Stijn completed the CEMS master’s degree in international management magna cum laude at the universities of Louvain-La-Neuve, St. Gallen, and Singapore. He obtained a score of 750 on the GMAT and speaks fluent French, Dutch, and English.
Before joining Oliver Wyman, Stijn was hesitating between startups and consulting. The entrepreneurial culture of Oliver Wyman and the prospect of a newly founded office pushed him to join the firm and led, in his words, to a “perfect fit.” Besides consulting, he is deeply interested in innovation, specifically in the potential of agentic generative artificial intelligence (AI).
Outside of work, he is also passionate about backpacking, which he has done for over six months in Asia and Central America, and enjoys playing chess.
