Helping Endangered Species Survive

A Volunteer Day with LfVM

Colorful meadows, butterflies, grasshoppers chirping – all of this has now become a rarity in the Munich area. Animal and plant species are often rare because their natural habitats disappear. Such biotopes can be a home to about 300 endangered animal and plant species. LfVM is an association dedicated to protecting Munich’s biotopes and helping further habitat conservation. The organization is dependent on donations and commitment from volunteers, and that's where Oliver Wyman stepped in to help.

The Result

A group of employees from across Oliver Wyman and our sister companies worked hard to counteract this trend and helped during the firm's global volunteer month to preserve one of Munich’s biotopes by pushing back neophytes and by raking lawns. Many colleagues were motivated by their experience to stay in contact with LfVM.
