Sabri is a partner in Oliver Wyman’s Energy and Natural Resources practice, based in Dubai.

He has more than 15 years of consulting experience in the MENA region, with a focus on the water and agri-food sectors. He specializes in developing national and corporate strategies, as well as designing operating models. He has advised numerous government stakeholders in the region on the implementation of institutional and policy reforms. Sabri holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Sabri supports government stakeholders shape national policies for both the water and agri-food sectors in the GCC region. His most recent projects are centered around improving food security in Saudi Arabia, in response to recent supply chain disruptions caused by various factors, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

I feel very fortunate to be working on GCC food and water security at a time when sustainable access to both resources is being increasingly threatened. Integrated interventions are a matter of urgency as climate change, pandemics and conflicts continue to strain an already vulnerable system of water and food security

Sabri’s interest in the agri-food sector started a few years after college, when he established a small business shipping frozen food products from the United Arab Emirates to Sudan: it thrived for several years, expanding into different business lines. He had to shut it down eventually, however, due to deteriorating conditions in the country, but to this day he has a passion for working on any project involving the production and trade of food commodities.
