#IWD2020: Each For Equal

The theme of this year's International Women's Day - #EachForEqual - identifies the importance of the individual in the fight for a gender equal world. We are all parts of a whole. Our individual actions, conversations, behaviors, and mindsets can have an impact on our larger society. We can all choose to be #EachforEqual. How will you help forge a gender equal world?

At Oliver Wyman, we celebrate today a robust and growing mentorship initiative where women leaders - and male allies - at the firm are serving as role models and advisors, not only for professional development purposes but also as a way to promote gender equality at an individual level.

Below, women share their stories of giving and receiving inspiration and growth opportunities in our offices around the world. Click on each photo to learn how these women are driving gender parity at Oliver Wyman - and making a positive difference for all women in business:

Ways To Get Involved

Supporting a culture that values differenceWe are not all the same and Women at Oliver Wyman (WOW) works to ensure that our differences are recognized, appreciated, and supported. With 30 chapters and hundreds of members globally, we are a network of colleagues of all genders working together to enable a culture where we view gender diversity (and its many intersections) as both an asset and a competitive edge.

Enabling a culture that thrives togetherWOW believes that for our firm to thrive, we must enable a culture where all of our colleagues feel included and personally capable of success at our firm – including women at Oliver Wyman. To ensure this, WOW works to:

  • Attract, retain and develop our female talent to full potential
  • Foster a more respectful and inclusive environment for everyone
  • Be an ambassador for the Oliver Wyman brand externally (with clients and recruits)

Reaching worldwide and supporting locallyWOW is run by a collection of highly engaged colleagues spanning the globe. Local chapter leads ensure that colleagues have the support they need on the ground, while the Global Leadership Team works to grow the organization and ensure maximum ROI from the firm’s investment.
