Vadim Kosin

Vadim Kosin is a Partner in Oliver Wyman's Digital practice, based in Singapore.

Vadim joined Oliver Wyman from American Express where he served as a Global Head of Outsourcing. There he lead numerous global outsourcing initiatives and implemented robust process change, re-engineering, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement strategies across all lines of business – Operations, Technology, Finance, Consumer and Corporate Cards, Travel Services, and more. Prior to American Express, Vadim worked as a Financial Services consultant in Israel and served as SVP/Head of Strategic Outsourcing at DBS bank in Singapore. His expertise spans across procurement, outsourcing, process re-engineering, change management, and business transformation.

Relevant experience includes:

  • For a European regional investment bank, supported the IT department on a major strategic sourcing initiative, from due diligence phase with the selected vendor to contract finalization
  • For an Asian asset manager, reviewed the sourcing strategy for 3rd party services, with specific focus on: pricing standards and ranges for 3rd party services across regions,  ranking of 3rd party suppliers for main intermediary services across regions, and management practices, approaches, and cases for procuring investment intermediary services
  • For an Asian regional player, designed the middle office for the investment operations regionally, reviewed the chargeback model for the shared services, and made recommendations for investment and operational dashboards
  • For a regional universal bank, supported the client teams in structuring a deal and preparing a "case for change" for outsourcing some parts of the back office operations in the listed securities business.

Vadim received an MBA from INSEAD, focusing on Finance and Strategy. He received a B.A. from Technion in Israel, majoring in Economics and Management.
