Tony Hayes is a Partner and leads Oliver Wyman’s global Payments team. In these capacities, Tony works with a global team of partners to drive growth and improve the customer experience across the full spectrum of consumer financial services.
Tony’s client work is centered around retail payments (credit, debit, prepaid, mobile payments) for different stakeholders (issuers, networks, acquirers) and retail delivery channels (ATM, online, mobile, next gen). Tony has more than 25 years’ consulting experience working with leading financial services organizations, payment networks, and processors around the world to develop compelling go-to-market strategies, operating models, and strategic M&A. Additionally, he has advised sophisticated private equity firms considering investments in the ATM, debit, and prepaid markets.
Tony regularly speaks on banking and payments issues at industry events, including organizing and chairing American Banker’s PayThink conference for over 10 years.
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman in 2007, Tony was a Managing Director with Dove Consulting, where he led the firm’s financial services practice. He graduated with First Class Honors from Oxford University.
