Scott Whitson is a Principal and the office leader in the Houston, TX office of the Actuarial Consulting Practice of Oliver Wyman.  His primary responsibilities are to provide actuarial consulting services to a variety of insurance, reinsurance and self-insured organizations. He serves as lead consultant and provides risk financing guidance on actuarial assignments.

Scott specializes in providing actuarial services in the following areas:
- Estimates of unpaid loss & ALAE for all property & casualty exposures, including workers compensation, auto liability, general liability, products liability, and professional liability.
- Estimates of required collateral related to large deductible casualty insurance programs.
- Forecasts of loss & ALAE for future periods including insurance optimization through consideration of capital at risk.
- Analysis of economic capital for small and mid-size property & casualty insurance companies.

Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Scott worked as an actuary at a large  multi-line property and casualty insurance company.  He gained an in depth knowledge of reserving, general liability pricing, and extended service programs.  With his prior experience at a Big Four audit firm, he is also familiar with insurance accounting issues.

Scott is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
