Ronan Gilhawley is a Partner, based in Sydney, Australia. He was most recently Head of the Australian Strategy practice for another consulting firm for the past 10 years, prior to which he worked in M&A across Asia Pacific for a global technology firm.
Ronan’s work focusses on strategy, M&A advisory work, and performance improvement. He has expertise in consumer-centric industries including Retail, Consumer Goods, Aviation, Leisure & Entertainment, and in Infrastructure and Digital assets. He also has broad experience of board strategy support in the not-for-profit sectors.
My interest in strategy is not so much in ‘what’ organizations should do, as it is in helping establish the rationale for ‘why’ they should do it, and in understanding the operational capabilities and change mechanisms that define ‘how’ organizations achieve success.
Ronan holds Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering & Economics from the University of Birmingham, UK, and an MBA from the AGSM (Australian Graduate School of Management). He is a member of the global Oliver Wyman Retail & Consumer Goods team. He is a keen student of history & explorer of new countries. He is also an experienced but less keen home renovator.
