Marc Meketon is a Vice President in Oliver Wyman’s Digital Practice working from our Philadelphia office.
He specializes in the design and development of software applications for optimization and analysis of transportation and logistics plans. These range from applications in freight revenue management optimization to airline maintenance.
Some of Marc’s recent accomplishments include leading the development of optimization tools used by logistic delivery companies and large manufacturers and developing routing to automotive part vendors to improve delivery performance for a European automotive manufacturer. His other projects include planning and logistics optimization for a newspaper delivery supply chain and leading the R&D of Oliver Wyman’s MultiRail software used to optimize freight railway operating plans.
He has published papers on statistical analysis, linear programming, communications, and simulation optimization, with two papers receiving top awards. Marc also serves on the council of two professional societies and was co-awarded the 2003 Franz Edelman Prize for Achievement in Operations Research and Management Science
Marc holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Villanova University. After that he obtained Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Operations research degrees from Cornell University.
