Erik has 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, 13 of which as a CEO.
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Erik was the CEO of Intesa Vita and Intesa Previdenza, Italy’s largest bank insurance and pension fund companies for more than seven years. From 1999 - 2002, Erik worked at Poste Vita and Poste Assicura as the CEO and led the start-up phase of Poste’s Italian insurance operations. Erik has also held the role of CEO at Skandia Italia Holding in 1997 - 1998, where he managed the Swedish group’s non-life business in Italy.
Erik started his career at McKinsey & Company, where he spent five years working in Milan, Rome and Boston. He holds a MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from the Stockholm School of Economics.
