He has more than 25 years of experience, across several countries, with food retailers, department stores, convenience retailers, clothing retailers, DIY, electrical, home equipment retailers and Internet retailers.

Bernard has formulated growth and reorganization strategies and led their implementation for major corporations in retailing and other sectors. He graduated from the University of Louvain in Belgium in law and in applied economics and received an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago.
