Financial Times: Chris McMillan warns data protection deadline may be missed by banks

Legacy IT systems may prevent banks from complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by the deadline of 25 May 2018, says UK Partner Chris McMillan.

Quoted in Financial Times, Chris describes the situation many banks are facing with over 100 systems of customer data where even simple changes take months. And complying with the GDPR is not a simple change: all customer-facing businesses have to allow their customers to access, edit, port, and delete any data held on them.
