FAZ: Dr. Martin Schulte on the Effects of Off-Price Stores on Luxury Brands

Anybody seeking exclusive designer items at a discount of 30 to 60 percent will be best served at off-price stores such as Saks Off5th. The Canadian company plans to expand its concept to 40 stores within Germany in the next three to five years. But according to our Partner Dr. Martin Schulte, this move could have serious consequences for luxury brands. In a new article in FAZ, Martin warns of both financial damages as well as a loss of prestige for brands if they are sold too cheaply.
