Why Oliver Wyman
I joined Oliver Wyman as a member of the first group of Executive Assistants in Mexico to remotely support U.S.-based partners. During my time at OW, I’ve also overseen onboarding and training for over 17 assistants. Currently, as an EA Assistant Manager – I feel more involved with OW, for I am responsible for building and managing a team of Administrative/Executive Assistants. I manage the team’s performance, workflow and collaborate with the Global EA Management team to develop and refine the service offering while improving efficiencies and processes.
Being part of the training team was important to me. Having the responsibility to teach skills that can improve our service, reduce mistakes, build confidence and create a better working environment was a task that made me feel an incredible amount of responsibility. Also, workflow and management have been a breakthrough in my career. I’ve always wanted to manage a team and I am on a path of growth with a team that I enjoy working with.
Outside of working hours
Oliver Wyman’s culture was one of the main reasons I started working at the firm in the first place. I value a company whose principles are not only aligned with mine, but that act accordingly. During the 3 years that I’ve been working in the firm, I’ve participated in countless charity events, LGBT parades, Women empowerment campaigns, Family activities and Environmental Sustainability Volunteer work. Not only have we informed and helped our community as needed, but we have also been able to create a bond as we follow-up with the organizations. Additionally, as part of the Social Committee, I can truthfully say that we live up to the motto: work hard, play harder. I feel privileged to not only work with the most diligent people in our industry but also have fun with them; rolling inside human hamster balls, painting while sipping on a marvelous glass of wine and enjoying relaxing massages – Only at Oliver Wyman!
