Ted Moynihan
Ted Moynihan is a Partner in the Corporate and Institutional Banking practice of Oliver Wyman in EMEA. He has been with the firm for over 10 years, during which time he has been fully dedicated to work in this sector.
Ted's background is in mathematics and control engineering, which was his speciality for a number of years before joining Oliver Wyman. Within the Corporate and Institutional Banking practice, Ted has concentrated on investment banking strategy, and in recent years has led several bank-wide initiatives for global bulge firms, looking at strategic opportunities across all business lines and reporting regularly directly to the management committees.
His consulting expertise encompasses business line strategic reviews across equities, fixed income and corporate finance businesses looking at market dynamics and outlook, competitive positioning, attractive growth or rationalization opportunities and resourcing implications. Ted's client work includes focusing specifically on private equity and principal finance business units for global top ten firms, covering inter alia economic models, organizational configuration, management practices and portfolio considerations. In addition, he has substantial work on investment banking infrastructure and support cost models including re-alignment of support service capabilities to front office requirements, extraction of latent cost synergies, collapse of redundant support layers.
In 2010, Ted was named to the prestigious Financial News 'Rising Stars' list, which identifies the brightest up-and-coming professionals in European financial services.
