Ramy Tadros
Ramy Tadros is a Partner at Oliver Wyman and the leader of the Insurance Practice in the Americas. Ramy has over 15 years of experience in financial services and insurance.
Ramy has led engagements for leading insurers around strategy, distribution, product, and strategic finance issues. Some of Ramy’s recent assignments have included:
- Consulting with the strategic planner of a top 5 US Life insurer to identify and prioritize growth opportunities in the US life retirement and life markets and recommend an alternative target operating model (product manufacturing and distribution coverage) to maximize the growth potential of the firm
- Working with the CFO of a leading US-based global insurer around revising the existing approach towards capital allocation decisions to better support the insurer’s strategic planning process
- Advising the CEO of a top 10 insurer around articulating a board-level strategic risk appetite statement
- Leading a review of the product pricing and hedging strategy for one of the leading variable annuity writers in North America
Prior to his relocation to North America, Ramy was based out of Oliver Wyman’s London office where he led the insurance risk and finance practice and consulted to leading life insurers in the UK, the Netherlands, Australia and Southeast Asia.
Ramy is a regular speaker at various industry forums, and has authored various Oliver Wyman's reports including, “Variable Annuities: In search of a premium valuation”, “The Deficiency List: Rethinking the risk agenda for insurers”, “The Hidden Hedge Funds within Life Insurers”. He also co-authored a recent equity analyst report around the strategy and economics of the variable annuity business.
Ramy graduated from Harvard University with BS in Economics with Highest Honors.
