Volunteerism & Philanthropy
Improving a neighborhood community center, raising money for disaster relief or disease research, providing management advice and analysis to a nonprofit organization – these are just some of the ways that Oliver Wyman employees are serving and strengthening their local communities.
Many efforts are long-time traditions of an Oliver Wyman office or business unit, while others are new initiatives started by individuals who saw a need and stepped up to help. Oliver Wyman applauds their commitment and supports their efforts to make a difference.
Painting a Brighter Future
In fall 2008, a group from the Lippincott, NERA, and Oliver Wyman business units joined more than 8,000 other individual a
nd company volunteers who revitalized more than 100 public schools in the 17th Annual New York Cares Day. The team spent a Saturday at P.S. 279, the Herman Schreiber School, in Canarsie, Brooklyn. The school serves approximately 740 children in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, and accommodates special needs students, English language learners, and physically disabled students.
