Recent engagement example
Midstream customer service - Oliver Wyman helped a large U.S. pipeline company to diagnose the root causes of customer service decline, leading to a redesign of the organization around emerging customer segments and their priorities. The work identified customer segment profitability and actions to improve service to various customer segments.
Talent management: Oliver Wyman conducted a global study of the critical emerging workforce challenges affecting oil and gas companies and the talent management strategies companies are employing to close the gaps. Based on the findings of the study, Oliver Wyman team helped a National Oil Company identify the future talent outlook for critical jobs and understand best-practice strategies to recruit, develop and retain its labor force.
Organizational design: Oliver Wyman performed research and benchmarking study of the organizational structure and supporting processes of ten large oil companies in support of a broader organizational transformation process for a major oil company. The approach included interviewing executives and managers from leading oil company competitors, mapping the current and emerging organizational models, and detailing the key business process and roles that make alternative organization structures successful.
