Andrew Rear

Andrew Rear is a Partner at Oliver Wyman and the Head of European Insurance.
Most recently, he lead the strategy and operations practice across life and general insurance as well as oversaw the development of our intellectual capital. His engagements include insurance clients in the UK, Continental Europe and beyond. His areas of expertise are within strategy, designing and developing product lines, pricing and growth strategies.
In addition, Mr. Rear has authored a number of major publications, is involved in a number of professional and industry groups, and is a regular speaker at insurance events. Before joining Oliver Wyman, he worked in marketing and strategy for Prudential. Prior to that, he was a Finance Actuary at Abbey National, looking after the financial affairs of Scottish Mutual Assurance plc.
Mr. Rear graduated from Cambridge University in Mathematics and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries.
