Larry Alberts
Larry Alberts is a leader of Oliver Wyman's Oil & Gas practice, based in Hong Kong. As the firm's Asia Geography Head, Mr. Alberts is responsible for coordinating the firm's activities in Asia with local and multinational industrial clients. Over the past fifteen years, he has directed client engagements in more than a dozen countries in Asia, Europe, and North America. Mr. Alberts has focused in the energy and surface transportation sectors, and has been a leader in the development of Oliver Wyman’s perspectives on Asian market, customer, and business design evolution. His experience in Asia over the past decade has focused on growth strategies, business design development, operations improvement, and market entry strategies. Previously, Mr. Alberts worked for Bain & Company; he also taught in a foreign trade program for mid-career engineers from China’s automotive industry in Wuhan, China.
Mr. Alberts holds a B.A. (magna cum laude) in economics from Harvard College, an M.A. in international studies, with a focus on East Asia, from the Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. (with distinction) from the Wharton School, where he was a Palmer Scholar.
