Andre holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Universidade Catolica Portuguesa Porto. He is a consultant in the Financial Services track.
I chose Oliver Wyman during the recruiting process because I had the chance to meet very challenging and bright people who really made an impact on me. It gave me a sense of the vibrant environment inside the organization that results not only from the business itself, but also from the cultural and academic diversity that exists. Having previously worked at one of the Big Four auditing firms, the commitment to a balance between work and personal time was also an important issue to me. It was the people—their challenging spirit and humanity—and the unique culture of Oliver Wyman that made my decision easy.
My experience here has been diverse, with experience across domains and geographies. I’ve had the chance to work with people from different offices and nationalities. The subjects were also quite varied, from developing scoring tools for consumer loans and start-ups, or building economic capital models to redesigning credit processes. This range of experience was very important to me during my first several years here. Now, I’m looking forward to increased responsibilities in a more focused specialty.
