A global logistics and delivery firm was aggressively adding new products and services through acquisitions and internal growth. The overall strategy created a thicket of interal applications, systems and operations that stifled cross selling, customization and customer service. The firm's CIO hired Oliver Wyman to investigate root causes of time to market of new products as well as customer relationship platforms. Our team reviewed the issues which went beyond IT to include operations, marketing, financial information and internal business rules and policy. A streamlined and simplified target operating model for the global logistics and delivery firm was designed and implemented with a focus on complexity reduction and re-engineered front to back processing.
