Stein Berre is a Managing Partner at Oliver Wyman and the Global Head of Corporate Risk. He joined Oliver, Wyman & Company in 1992 and has filled a variety of roles, with a major focus on risk measurement and risk-taking strategies of clients and in improving the effectiveness of the risk and finance functions in both. He has extensive experience working throughout Europe and North America in multiple sectors, including financial services and energy.
His area of expertise includes development of risk and capital management frameworks, organizational redesign of the risk and finance organizations, enhancement of risk management capabilities at leading investment banks and energy /commodity firms, creation of best-in-class risk governance for banks, insurers and energy companies, and the design of risk pooling/ risk sharing structures for a variety of sectors.
Mr. Berre holds a BA in Economics and Public Policy from Princeton University and a MA in Economic History from Harvard University.
