Growth strategy development and implementation for an incumbent telecom operator. After identifying three separate sources of growth (both within its geography and outside), Oliver Wyman supported the organic and inorganic execution of a growth strategy involving the identification of appropriate investments, due diligence assessments, partnership negotiations, start-up support, license bids, and post-merger integration management. Over a period of 18 months, this growth strategy helped our client increase its operations from 2 to 14 and its customer base from 1m to over 30m. We were actively involved in supporting the capital-raising efforts (equity and debt) and in managing complex integrations. This success has now enabled our client to be seen as a major operator in its region, with a diversified revenue stream.
